Asteria (aka LizThaler)
Carmela Smith

Asteria's past lives involve a Psychology BA and two decades producing and directing theater in NYC. You can hear her play TTRPGs as Dr. Glass on The Stranger (Roll for Impact), Tamara Rothé on Tasha’s Mall of Everything (Arcane Focus), and as GM of Hag Deal’s own Queen of Daggers, Heart of Fire. You can also hear her know things and solve puzzles on podcasts like Trivial Warfare, FourPlay, and Nerd-off. She/they wears tiaras to GM, and as general motivation to work instead of looking at her/their phone.

Carmela is a veteran podcast host, editor, and producer, working on shows such as FourPlay and the award-winning Trivial Warfare. A life-long role-play gamer, Carmela is also a player character on Hag Deal’s Queen of Daggers, Heart of Fire. She is no stranger to creative spaces and has a love of fantasy, sci-fi, and pop culture. Carmela will spin you a story with quick wit, a wicked sense of humor, and kindness. She says she’s cursed by a witch with an urgent need to tell jokes, or she’ll perish. Carmela accomplishes this with a smile, cat ears, and a litany of “one skills”.
